Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership. We believe that coaching is an ongoing relationship between coach and client.
There are many reasons that an individual or team might choose to work with a coach, including but not limited to the following:
There is something at stake (a challenge, stretch goal or opportunity), and it is urgent, compelling or exciting or all of the above.
There is a gap in knowledge, skills, confidence, or resources.
There is a desire to accelerate results.
There is a lack of clarity, and there are choices to be made.
The individual is extremely successful, and success has started to become problematic.
Work and life are out of balance, and this is creating unwanted consequences.
One has not identified his or her core strengths and how best to leverage them.
We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we strive to overcome and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with a coach can impact your life, setting you on a path to greater personal and professional fulfillment.
The ol' saying sums it up best: "Humans need tribes, like bees, need hives". We know how lonely it can be "at the top" but it can be very lonely on the way there too, and even worse right back down at the bottom.
In COVID times with a mix of quarantines, lockdowns, curfews and too many zoom meetings, this already large problem in our sector has just gotten bigger. Join a mastermind group that allows you to avoid loneliness and surround yourself with others that can strengthen you and help you avoid obstacles.
They are once a month and typically a full day. Each advisory group is for a full year. There is also an advisory group retreat the whole group goes on 1-2 times a year.
In person and/or online (Zoom).

The length of a coaching partnership varies depending on the individual’s or team’s needs and preferences. It varies from client to client.

Derek Evans is a mission-driven entrepreneur with 15 years of experience with a passion of empowering people and communities. He was recognized by Nashville Business Journal as one of its 40 under 40 because of his proven track record of building relationships, growing leaders, and executing profitable business strategies.
After going through his own journey as an entrepreneur, he understands that as a leader, you experience a lot of ups and downs, and it can be a really lonely place. Because of the lack of resources he experienced, he started Lighthouse Leadership to meet leaders where they are and create solutions that allow leaders to flourish — personally and professionally. He combines professional coaching mixed in with Christian principles for the client to help the client achieve success.
Derek is passionate about providing practical advice on leadership, particularly one that practices social good and helps others transform their lives. He has inspired the hiring of 50 people recovering from homelessness and mental illness, donated nearly $1M to world changing nonprofits through his business which established the funds for an orphanage in Uganda, build water wells in Africa, provided masks to front-line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and helped to alleviate impacts of food insecurity, human trafficking, pediatric cancer, and natural disasters. His actions and his best-selling book, Made to Change the World, has inspired others to take action in creating world change.
Derek cares deeply about helping leaders discover their full potential and make an impact in the world. He continues to inspire others to find their gifts and talents and make meaningful, tangible impact in leaders’ local communities.
